Case Study: Siemens Gamesa blade factory
Vast expansion to the Siemens Gamesa blade factory
In early 2022 we met with our client to discuss the logistics of the Siemens Gamesa site. The plans were to expand its successful offshore blade factory in Hull. After many discussions, we agreed on a fail-proof plan reserving stock and maintaining prices to make for another seamless project.
The Client: A well-known and well-respected Hull-based M & E contractor accepted this challenge to help Siemens double the size of their manufacturing facilities. The expansion cost over £186 million with completion by 2023.
The Project: With the scale of the project at Siemens Gamesa Blade Factory vast amounts of pre-cut channel and threaded rod were required at short notice however our team rose to the challenge and exceeded expectations as always. We also supplied rubber-lined clips, conduit, munsen rings, galvamate, channel brackets etc.
The Result: A reliable supply of goods was key with teams of workers. In fulfilling our promise we supported the community in Hull as well as the green energy movement. With Siemens promise of safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing, over 1,500 blades have been delivered to their customers worldwide. It has been a pleasure to be a part of supporting our valued customers and also helping Siemens add to its already massive capacity in the future.
